Nederland Visit

Clint and I just returned from a weekend with his parents in Nederland. We enjoyed his mom's wonderful cooking including lasagna, chicken parmesan, ice cream cake, roast, and apple cobbler. We get a little spoiled when we go home. We were also able to watch Trevin's baseball game on Friday night. Saturday we had a visit from Mamaw, Johnny, Auntie, Melissa, Chris, & Trevin. Clint, Trevin, & Andrew enjoyed some ping pong and trash talking. Then after church on Sunday, we had more visitors including Glenn, Chris & AF. We also got a photo of Wayne showing off Lady's tricks. It was so nice to see so much of Clint's family.

Alan named Most Promising Broadcaster

My youngest brother, Alan, was named KTXT's Most Promising Broadcaster for 2007-2008. He is a radio broadcaster for a Texas Tech University radio station under the announcer name of Mr. Walter Crunkite. We always thought he had Mad TV acting potential, but he may be the next big thing in radio. We are very proud of him!

Galveston Cruise Port

My oldest brother Jeremy and his wife, Carrie spent a weekend with us before departing on Carnival Conquest cruise out of Galveston. We enjoyed their visit and were able to take them to our favorite hamburger joint, The Spot. They had great things to say about the cruise vacation. We have enjoyed the overnight visitors that the cruises out of Galveston have brought us.

Clint and I were sad to get left behind, so we went to Hotel Galvez for an all you can eat breaksfast brunch complete with eggs benedict, waffles, and mimosas. It was delicious! Then we sat out at the Galveston beach. We considered it our pretend cruise for the afternoon.
