California Vacation........Beaches & Our Brush with Fame

Clint and I celebrated our two year anniversary and our final trip without a baby (aka. Babymoon) in California this last weekend. We flew into California on Thursday and enjoyed a long weekend of walks on the beach, relaxing, exploring coves, Hollywood...0range carpet of Nickelodeon's Kids Choice Awards, Beverly Hills, a short hike, driving the coast of Malibu, and some very nice meals. It was a gorgeous trip and so nice to get away with Clint.

This beach was called 1000 step, because you had to walk down 280 steps to reach the beach. That was not easy for a 6 month pregnant girl........for a moment I thought we were going to have our baby on those steps and have to name her California.

It was worth the walk when we got down there to this gorgeous secluded beach.

We found a little cove to walk in and on the other side was more beach.

We went out to celebrate our anniversary with dinner in Beverly Hills. This trip was supposed to be our gift to each other, but Clint surprised me with a beautiful heart diamond necklace.

The next day was our day of Hollywood and LA.

I really wanted to see a star while we were in Hollywood, so we had lunch at the famous Ivy Restaurant, but no stars were sighted.

It was my lucky day, because I spotted a sign for the Nickelodeon Kid's Choice Award and was able to find out they were taking place that night at UCLA Pavilion, so Clint and I headed to the KCA to spot some movie stars.

The star I was most excited about seeing was Hugh Jackman. We were just a few feet away from these stars, so it was very exciting for me!

Miley Cyrus or Hannah Montanna.........I'm not a huge fan, but the little girls were freaking out. She was really nice to spend time signing autographs and shaking hands.

This was our final day and we drove along the Malibu coast, which was beautiful. We also decided to hike at Solstice Canyon state park. The hike was getting a little difficult for me and along came two couples who warned Clint that this hike was not for pregnant women unless he wanted to carry me down the hill........they recommended taking the easier route to the same destination. I was very thankful!

Two Year Anniversary

Today marks two years since I married the man of my dreams!


I can't believe it has been two years since our wedding day....these have been the best two years of my life! Clint is such a wonderful husband. He is everything I prayed for in a husband and more. We laugh together everyday and truly share our dreams with each other. I feel so truly blessed to be Mrs. Clint Christopher and pray that God blesses us with a lifetime of happiness together!

Weekend with Breezi

My best friend, Breezi flew in to Houston this weekend to spend a weekend with me. We stayed at the Hilton Post Oak and spent a lot of time relaxing, talking, shopping at the Galleria and eating at Maggiano's, La Madeline, RA Sushi, and La Peep. It was so good to catch up and have a whole weekend with no agenda...just hanging out. Breezi and I met 8 years ago, when she moved to Houston for work, after graduating from college. I had only been in Houston since my own gradution a few months before, so I didn't know many people either. One of my coworkers at IBM gave her my phone number and we ended up talking for over an hour the first time she called. We were instant friends and it was a friendship that only God could have brought together so randomly. Now after years of fun times, adventures, heartbreaks, both finally finding the loves of our lives and being Maid of Honors in each others weddings, I can't imagine not having my dear friend, Breezi.

For those of you that were asking "What Bump?" when I posted the last pictures, that is no longer in question. Baby girl made herself visible to all over the last month. I will be 24 weeks pregnant on Sunday.......I am still feeling great & all is well with baby!

Experienced "New" Mommy Friends

Two of my dear friends had babies within the last six months. It has been such a blessing to have Melanie & Melissa to ask questions, share pregnancy tips, recommend baby products, help me register for baby stuff and help me plan for the arrival of our baby girl!

Me with Melissa and her sweet boy, Emerson. She has truly been a blessing.....I think I have asked her atleast 500 questions about pregnancy, nursing, delivery, post pregnancy, and taking care of baby. We have been friends since years before we met our husbands, so it is really fun to share this stage of life with each other.
