Gina back at Hewitt

I have returned to the corporate world!
I spent the summer going back & forth and praying about the right career for me. I had been offered a 1st grade teaching job in Victoria, but three weeks before I was to start, Hewitt (my previous company) called me about a job opening as a Multi-Domain Project Manager on the Prudential Account. They agreed to let me work from home (Victoria, TX) all but 6 days out of the month. I spend 3 of those in New Jersey and 3 in The Woodlands. It was just too good to pass up, so I took the job!
It is really fun to see all of my old friends from work and I am enjoying the challenge of this position. I do miss my kindergarten kiddos though....especially the hugs!

This is my office in The Woodlands First day of work
The grounds of the office are beautiful. I have been having lunch out by this lake.

Actually, the whole area of The Woodlands is amazing. Trees, lakes, and running trails are everywhere. Clint & I are thinking it may be our future home!

Alan has left for Germany

My youngest brother, Alan, left for a year of study abroad in Germany. We are going to miss him a ton......but it will be a great experience for him. He is studying International Business at Texas Tech University. Clint & I are hoping to make a trip to visit him in the next year.

Here he is the weekend of our "Farewell to Alan" weekend in Georgetown. Our entire family was home. This backpack contains a years worth of stuff. You can read about his adventures through the "Friends Blog" section of my blog.......under Alan's Blog.

Las Vegas Family Reunion

My mom's family has a reunion every summer and they rotate the location from homes of her aunts & uncles. This year it was in Las Vegas.

This is my Aunt Mary, my mom, & Uncle Richard
This is at the Golden Nugget. They just remodeled & that is a shark/fish tank in the center of the pool
I spent a lot of time laying by the pool & swimming. It was my last week of summer, so I tried to make the most of it.
Of course, I had to play the slots. This was my only jackpot. I won 900 quarters.
